I saw Pearl and the Beard last Friday at a venue that can't possibly be legal. They were great. I was shocked. So good in fact that I became angry when I found out they're from Brooklyn and not D.C. (I wanted to book them for the talk show). Rather than stay angry per usual, I decided to ask for an interview. Well, what do you know, they said yes! Hooray! Since I was a few drinks in I didn't prepare any questions. See if you can tell.

What's even better than seeing a band live and thinking they're great is waking up the next day and listening again and realizing that your brain wasn't in an alcoholic haze, they actually are good. Well, dear reader, that is just what happened.
